ACE
International Cagayan de Oro Chapter Report
November, 2006 Project
The ACE International Cagayan de Oro Chapter with the
cooperation of KIWANIS International Division IV-A had a seminar
with parents and children in a barangay in Puerto, Bugo, Cagayan
de Oro City last November 18, 2006.
The program started in the morning and ended with a sumptous
lunch for the participants. More that 500 poor children
attended the program. They had Parlor games and values
formation talk. The parents had separate session with a DSWD
personnel regarding the Rights of a Child. We donated 2
basketball balls to the barangay chairman. Children can borrow
them anytime they want to play basketball.
Both parents and children enjoyed the activities prepared for
them. Some barangay officials were present too. They were very
thankful and even requested that these activities be done in
their barangay regularly.
KIWANIS members headed by Lt. Gov. Perpe Roque and ACE
International volunteers headed by Letty Rea-Roque hada
fulfilling and inspiring time with the happy children as shown
in the pictures.
